I was watching the sun rise
As we began to fall
Learning the secrets of time
Wishing it would heed my calls
If only I could hear you
Inside the whisper of this wind
Then perhaps we'd find ourselves
Within each other once again

But tomorrow didn’t come
(I sit here waiting)
No, tomorrow never comes

I remember yesterday as clearly
As I see your face
But your heart is far too dim now
This love now awkward and out of place
I peer into your eyes
And see only emptiness within its space
And now I can only wonder
How it was that I fell from your grace

But tomorrow didn’t come
(I sit here praying)
No, tomorrow never comes

I reach out with both hands
Hoping you will catch me soon
Looking to far off lands
Underneath this desolate moon
My cheeks now stained with tears
I am drowning within your storm
What feels like eternity in these few years
Have become my norm
