As the Phoenix of myth it will ever rise undaunted
From the darkest embers Glorious to behold, victorious and mighty
Though it carries its own particular brand of pain
It will never leave my heart, its house
Not sword, not word, not hate nor any action
Will vanquish this, my trusted companion
Together hope and I have slain fear
Mutilated injustice, played guardians to doubt
Kissed fools and frogs and reprimanded
Sternly the advances of many a prince
Unrecognized in the blindness
Created by our past and insurrections
Our battle cry this cold dark eve is
DEATH TO WORRY!
Our leader and hero,a soul
Unconquered, pristine and gleaming crystalline
The soul that is more than mine
For in each of us hope lies waiting
Perhaps covered in a blanket
Thick and unyielding for a time
Yet there
It lives
