Because I really like your question, Dean, and don't want to downplay it by being simplistic or reductionist, I'll ask one of my own,

Is it possible that humans are events, often very important ones, given to the world by the Oversoul?

Yes, I believe that most humans are events, more divine than they realize and for the most part largely unaware of why they chose to be here.The gift and the giver being one.

Hey Dean,
I like your proposition, this could be the discussion of discussions.
What if we are the architects of manifestation on the physical?
Given that we exist on this level or degree of vibrational energy and given that we differentiate here to learn/help/or whatever we choose to express our free will, we are all always connected to All.
As manifestation begins initially in mind (with thought) is it not possible that this creative effect is a two way thing, reaching down to manifestation as well as up to Spirit?
So each event/production contains what we see as the thing, but if it deals with Nature, the appropriate nature Spirit is invoked in the making, like the Salamanders that accompany the flame when we light a match.
If we humbly accept our role in this hierarchy, we can move closer in consciousness to the true nature of what we are.
The Christ came to demonstrate this for mankind, by showing us that there truly is no death only the end to a physical life. He came as the Architect of our Salvation.

I came across this quote recently rereading Ken Carey's The Starseed Transmissions: "Do you want a definition of angels? We are you, yourself, in the distant past and distant future. We are you as you were, would have been and still are, had you not fallen from your original state of grace. We exist in a parallel universe of non-form, experiencing what you would have experienced had you not become associated with the materializing processes."

"Who have you brought with you?"
Perhaps some fell and some chose to fall, with memory of grace and will and capacity to share that grace with those forgot?

An interesting point being that the book I published for a friend many years ago on a geometrical form of maths/physics showed that there where other dimensions at orthogonal angles to our own and I can not help noticing how close the word Angel and angle are! Using this model there may well be beings on different angles of existence to our own? So the saying being on another plane of existence would make sense. He postulated that each element in our periodic table was the same substance operating on a different plane of existence. So in an all space is occupied scenario it would make sense to use all possible angles?

I kinda get where you're coming from Steve, I think.
I have always thought of space and time and geometric things as pretty much things of the mind plane, the last spot in vibration before manifestation on the physical plane.
I believe the whole of the physical plane is pretty much occupied with the results of thought manifested.
Whist matter is imbued with the spiritual forces of its creation it's pretty inert compared with the vibrancy and beauty of the spark and power that created it.
Angels are dwellers of the eternal now of creation, vibrating in unison with the Breath of creation over the breadth of creation.
Maybe,? just a different angle...:-)
