It would be great if you could tell us a bit about the inspiration for this.

Sometimes I feel a bit like the Cocteau quote to the effect that an artist is about as qualified to discuss his/her work as a plant is to discuss horticulture.

That said, I've been attracted to the Quetzalcoatl archetype for years, starting with my sojourns in Mexico.

Also, I was very inspired with Pinchbeck's book 2012: THE RETURN OF QUETZALCOATL and feel similarly that I'm also, along with many others, in the process of downloading/embodying this particular archetype.

So many mysteries...I just follow my intuition. Things do make sense, along the way. So much patience and acceptance needed on this journey, thank goodness for the guidance. Interesting the cosmological associations between Quetzalcoatl and the heavens and stars...perhaps starseeds are drawn to this archetype for a reason.
Anywhoo I love your version of the deity, it's minimalistic feel, and brilliant colors. They are a lovely contrast...thank you for sharing, my friend. J

Hi Janie,

I also have a deep connection to Quetzacoatl, as I am of Mayan decent. I was born in Nicaragua in Central America and my main power totem is Coyote, which is connected to Quetzacoatl. Coyote also helps me connect to Tezcatlipoca, or the "Smoking Mirror" God of the ancient mayans. Through my 9 animal totems, i am able to access the medicine of these ancient deities. Great to see others, such as yourself, tapping into similar powers...:)
