Bird Tribes

A Social Nest for Angels in Human Form

we never need to apologize for understanding. It comes naturally to us. My mother was such as we are but her life was so traumatic that she forgot which way to go home. I led her. Trust your feelings. We are sensitive which makes it very painful to be us on this Earth but we are never wrong. Not once we trust ourselves. That has only just happened for me in the past two years after more than fifty being a suicidal mother who only wanted to raise safe and happy babies in what seems to me to be Hell.

suddenly, time is an essence, like jasmine in the night air. I am a moon shadow on Earth. wandering the gardens in the dark beneath an indigo sky or flying on my webbed wings.

Who will be my star to steer my ship by across these many seas. Atlantis, I am here. Where are my hosts and hostesses, where is my Hell a yule yah Choir? Sing Hosanna? Or just toot your own horn little boy. I don't want to blow like that ever again.

Hello everyone! I have just joined this site and I'm new to the group. I've been having some fun navigating my way through the site and came across this forum. I wanted to say hi to each and everyone of you.

I'm not quite sure which type of bird I really am. I've been doing a lot of searching lately. I'm a sponge when it comes to knowledge, however, I can be a bit dense at times and that's when I could use a sledgehammer, or sign, if you will, to understand my path in life. Getting invited to this site was the sledgehammer-- so to speak for me because I was feeling a bit lonely these past few days and was longing for a spiritual group to join. I got an invite to here and poof it's starting to make a bit of sense (I think) to me lol!

I don't talk about spirituality with many people, or even what goes on in my head, but I have had weird dreams of eagles and was told by three friends that I have "Eagles' eyes". So I'm only guessing that I'm connected to an eagle spiritual totem. I have also had a guardian dragon around me since about the age of 5. He is a gorgeous silvery purple in my dreams. I could go on and on, but I think I'll stop here for now so I can check out more of this site and get to know all of you. Thanks for taking the time to get to know me a bit and I look forward to meeting all of you!

Warm soul-smiles and "Hello's" to All,

I am a White Raven.
In my youth my totem was the Dog. In my late teens and early adulthood, the Tiger.
Finally, I'm old enough to get off the ground!

I had a reading last year and it mentioned that I was

a spark of creator light that expresses itself in the form of a light body-that expresses itself as a form of human with wings...one of the root races...bird tribes. These so called wings have a unique purpose....transformers...of energy into the frequency to manifest/translate energy into form. They are appendanges, almost like arms and hands, just a different purpose. Your light body is infused with seven rays of color, sparkling, irridescent and in constant flux, almost a shapeshifting effect....part of the Elohim consciousness

I'm still learning about the parts in this reading that had deeper meaning to be revealed as I am ready for it. The birds that seem to show up in my life on a frequent basis would the hummingbird and crow.

Love,
Kimberlee

For me it would be the eagle of course. It is what I collect here with a passion and love the most.

Hi, Ravenheart! It's my understanding that in some traditions people are considered to have a number of totem animals, arranged sort of vertically (as on a totem pole) with the influence of a particular animal being stronger towards the top. Whether there is universally accurate or not, most people on this wavelength seem to identify with multiple animals. Have you read the Medicine Cards take on Raven? There, Raven embodies/teaches Magic ...

I was born with a Hawk guide - he is a red-tailed hawk named Kai. Later, in my teens, he was joined by a black jaguar, her name being Tatianna. They have stayed with me and I am very proud and honored to have them in my life. I have had other animal guides come in and out during my life and I have learned much from them but these two have always remained. I have been visited by a white horse most recently so have some new lessons yet to be learned.

But I have had two in my 'dream space' recently though and they belong to another - they watch and my guides barely acknowledge them but they are a horned owl and an old she wolf. But that is another matter....

Thank you for accepting me into the Bird Tribes.

In love & light,
falling feather

I guess I should have mentioned that I have been lucky enough to see a Thunderbird twice in my life - once in CO and once in MO.

The first time was the most amazing. It was 24 so it was back in '94. I had a two hour driver from work through Denver and the highway was backed up pretty bad so I thought I would be brilliant and get off the highway and take the back roads. Well I ended up getting myself lost and I was trying to head in the direction of home but I had somehow ended up in the beginning of the foothills of the mountains. I was driving down a two lane road in the middle of no where with the sun setting to my left which was a wall of rock they had cut through for the road and to my right was a field that backed up to some dense woods.

I am always stopping to look at wildlife and nature and I spotted a very large bird in the field so I started pulling over thinking it was a condor. But as I got closer I realized it was so much larger and as I neared it (I was on the shoulder by the fence that enclosed the field) it spread it wings and started flapping. I got out of the car as it took off and at that time I was driving a Hyundai and the wingspan was much longer than the length of the car and as it flapped its wings it shook my car and I had to hold onto the car to stand up. At the same time another car was coming down the road and stopped right in the middle of the road and a man got out and watched. It flew west over the rocks, towards the mountains and we watched it until it was out of sight. Then the man jumped up and down and yelled 'did you see that?' as neither of us could believe it. I had never seen a bird so large in my life and it was beautiful. It was different shades of browns and earth tones and one of the most beautiful sights I have ever seen.

The second time I saw one was here in MO. One morning I was driving my daughter to the doctor and there was a line of storms coming in so the sky was half dark, half sunny, early morning. It was way up high in the clouds, flying in and out of them and at first we were not sure of the size until we saw a traffic helicopter in 'front' of the bird and it was in the distance and still at least the size of the helicopter. I knew then it was not an ordinary bird.

Has anyone else every had the blessing of seeing these birds? They are a wonder to behold.

Hi Everyone...I just updated my profile a little about my inner sense of birdtribe.

Hi falling feather. Amazingly I never seen or heard of a thunderbird! I will look for them now ;)

The particular conscious dream I had many years ago that showed my connection with the Bird tribe (if i can call it that) is in the form of an owl like bird (with superhuman like consciousness) that resembles both egyptian and Tibetan symbols of owl. Owl is usually associated with the feminine wisdom of space/dakini in Tibet and the ability to see in the dark or the unseen.

I am curious if anybody knows about any similarity about the Egyptian book of dead and the Tibetan book of Dead. I too feel connection with hawk and eagles. Have consciously flown as both in lucid dreams. And my heart always soars with sight of swans and geese taking flight in V shape.

My first vivid shamanic dream was an encounter with a big white Wolf. The second one with a jaguar or black panther. I was fearless in that dream and put my fingers thru the pather's forehead as if it is a hologram. I had a quite a few elephant dreams, especially in times of deep inner agitation. My most recent dream was that of a plumed dragon rather happy and fluffy. I also feel joyful connection with dolphins.
