Bird Tribes

A Social Nest for Angels in Human Form

Replies to This Discussion

First time i have felt able to write out loud whats inside. My bird tribe is Shemsu Hor, although very few memorys. More feelings of belonging and a knowing rather than memorys. Have heard some pretty outragous things about some of Shemsu Hor in this lifetime, which gives an aching of my heart and makes me think twice about writing this. But i always try to do the best i possibly can, and am a great believer in putting the energy where its needed most. The energy i feel with Heru, and others, has always given me a clarity of mind and desire to do whatever is needed. Tend to see things i did not see before, or get a deeper understanding of. Have never come across anyone else from the same tribe, but quite a few from native indian tribes. Have to say though we are all the same tribe at heart. Would love to understand more, and or meet others from other tribes.

I'm not directly familiar with Shemsu Hor, outside a little reading on the Rainbow Tribes, but you're most welcome here on Bird Tribes, Julian! Thanks so much for sharing! And feel free to share more ...

In a week-end retreat many years ago, we did a deep meditation to find our spirit animal helper. A picture came to my mind, but as I have never been very good at conscious visualization it was a bit fuzzy. But after the meditation we were asked to draw a picture of what we had seen. What I had thought might be a hawk emerged in my drawing into a parrot. And although the idea did not sit all that well with me at the time, it still felt right. Just my luck, I thought, I get stuck with a silly, gaudy, rowdy and raukus bird like that. On much further reflection, however, I have come to love the idea. Parrots, in their many varieties are highly intellegent, clever and adaptable, social and affectionate, and down-right gorgeous! I have also found some liturature stating that the Mayan people revered the parrot as a messenger to the gods. If anyone has any other insights into this particular bird, I would love to hear them.

Thank you for you insight on Parrot. I do indeed look for the color, the joy and the magic in life, the nuances of convversation and other forms of communication. Parrot has been and continues to be a stong influence it would seem.

I have a kinship with most birds, and a special bond with a few, namely Corbae, Owl and Hawk. I am gifted with feathers regularly, once upon walking out of a friends front door an entire detached wing fell right at my feet. (out of the pine tree, I think, but who knows?)
Owl protects me, and has since I was a child, Hawk comes when I need to "look" at something, and Corbae are my daily teacher/guides.

I remember trying to get to work one day and this hawk decided to land right next to my driver's side tire. He was gorgeous. I never saw one close up before, and I probably won't again, but this bird is etched in my memory. I left for work and then upon returning home, found one of his feathers! I felt so lucky to have it. I've had some other encounters with birds too and for some reason, I feel that birds and share a bond too.

The eagle is my spirit guide but the hawk is my neighbor and brings me many messages. Raven and hummingbird are also in my totem. The seagull has always called to me along the coast where I have lived my life. The cardinal is a new friend this winter while the chicadee is lifelong. In humor I am known by manynames, including this that I made for myself, 'Raven Loon, a tick from Maine' My opinions and ideas are unique. I dare to imagine the impossible. I believe in a better tomorrow.

I am not sure how bird tribes are named or divided here, but here is what I do know. My lifelong animal totem is the snake. I am a metaphysical "magician", communicator, and healer. I have never felt that I belonged on Earth but that my home was a planet with a red sky and we would always need running starts to fly (among many other memories including vast libraries and spacious buildings for living and worship). After reading the book aliens among us by Ruth Montgomery there was an account of someone who visited a planet that exactly matched my memories in astral travel he described the residents of this planet as "bird men" Later on I found another reference to a planet with a red sky and tropical climate populated by bird people known as the Carians. It is to the Carians I have always identified myself upon waking up we are messengers, magicians, and healers, but there may be another name for us here. We brought such things to Earth a long time ago and founded the Carian nation in ancient Turkey which spread out and became Egypt, Greece, parts of the Middle East and Asia.

Just as I can only remember back to when I was two, others remember further. My family can't remember me any longer since the me they thought they knew no longer exists.

Ahau, Thank you for the link I have found this before actually, a very good reference! I also enjoyed the picture you posted earlier with the man laying on the bird.

Beverly, it is odd you would say two years old. I too walked into this form at that age. Growing up in this form was very difficult for me but I am starting to enjoy it more as an adult. I know it must have been hard for you as well, especially when it comes to family, but it is alright and we are always surrounded in love..I am sorry if it sounds like I am making assumptions about you that's not what I'm trying to do.. what I am trying to do is offer support and I just felt it would be okay to say so.
